Leveling Information
It would be a good idea to show up before your leveling time begins - about 15min. to warm-up, stretch out and prepare yourself!

Participants should be wearing black shorts and a PLAIN tshirt preferably white (grey or black are ok too), athletic shoes. Hair should be up in a ponytail! Nails trimmed. No jewelry!

Leveling will be offered on 2 evenings. If you are considering the Senior Level 4 team every effort should be made to attend the Wednesday session. The Thursday session is recommended for all other levels. Call Coach Ramirez @ 309-314-1123 OR sign up for your night during a practice!

We will NOT be teaching ANY stunting (or tumbling) at "tryouts". We will ask participants to perform the stunt, if they don't know how they will be marked accordingly. (spotters for tumbling will NOT be offered, the skill must be MASTERED on SPRING (not rod) floor to get credit).

Stunt classes are in place to be sure your athlete knows how to do each position of a stunt and can execute it PROPERLY at "tryouts". Please consider attending a March, April, or May session. (Dates & times are on the WELCOME page.)

Please note LEVELING is a standardized system used across the US, therefore it may include tumbling &/or stunts we have not done at practice or do not do on a regular basis. Age, maturity, attitude, attendance records, and experience all influence any borderline cases where the coaches' discretion is needed to decide what team the athlete will be placed on. Please be assured you have a group of highly qualified coaches who can effectively decide what will be best for each individual athlete.

Tumbling will be leveled (standing & running). Jumps, motions, & flexibility will be evaluated as they are not on a formal leveling system (jumps will include: TT, pike, front hurdlers & combos w/ tumbling for L4, TT, pike, hurdlers & limited combos for L3, TT & hurdlers for L2, TT & tucks L1). (flexibility of splits all 3 ways will be evaluated) The athletes will perform a VERY short chant &/or dance taught the night of their session to evaluate motion tightness, accuracy, & execution.
