Job descriptions are listed below.
We would like you to volunteer at least one Home Game for 2 hours. If you want to do more, just say so. You can even work all day if you want!
Dear Arlington Pop Warner Families;
WE NEED YOUR HELP
Arlington Pop Warner is run solely by volunteers like you. We need you to volunteer your time for each of the functions that we have planned throughout the year. Here is a list of what we need for each of the functions:
For Each Home Game (there are 4 this year)
- Anyone or a team of people willing to shop at Costco or BJ’s – The list will be provided. A van or pickup
truck would be beneficial.
- Money can be fronted prior to your purchasing the food, or you can charge the food and get reimbursed at the
field during the game.
- Anyone willing to store the items bought until Sunday morning and bring them to Arlington High Sunday
morning at
7:00 AM.
2. Time to make the donuts: This job is for the early riser (usually an E team parent) who runs to Dunkins and
donates a dozen donuts to be sold at Concession in the morning.
3. Concession Workers:
- Food wrapper and runner – wrap cooked food and deliver it to the Concession Stand, keep the wrapping area neat.
- Counter Help – taking and filling orders, serving food, collecting money, making change, keeping concession area neat.
- 50/50 Raffle – Duties include selling the tickets in the stands during the first half through half time and distributing the winnings. If kids would like to help they must be accompanied by an adult at all times
- Field:
- 2 Play Monitors – Responsible for ensuring that the minimum number of plays per child is met for the opposing teams
- Down Markers – Be where the action is! We need three people for each game to keep the chains moving.
In addition to Home Games, we will be need volunteers for the following functions:
5. Competition – a total of 5 volunteers are needed to help work the Leagues competition on October 17th.
Free admission to the competition, front row seat to see your daughter’s team perform. The rest of the day is
spent either selling 50/50, T shirts, “babysitting” the teams, keeping order.
- Parents’ Dance – The annual Ponder Pride dance is set for Friday, Oct. 2nd 7-11pm. We will need volunteers to set up, clean up, help with collecting and making the raffle baskets, etc.
8. Eastern Mass Competition – If we are lucky enough to have a team (or teams) advance to the Eastern Mass
Competition on October 31st, we will need 5 more volunteers to help work that competition. The duties are
pretty much the same as the other competition.
Get to know the people in the organization – VOLUNTEER!!!
Please contact Linda at linda.cahill@verizon.net and let her know where and when you can help this season.
The volunteer map will be updated daily so you can see where the hours are needed. Linda will confirm your date and time with you after she receives the email.
