    YOUTH FALL SOCCER INFORMATION SHEET

    AGE GROUPS
    A. AGE GROUPS:
    U5 cannot turn 5 before October 15 and must be 3 by December 31 of the current year
    U7 cannot turn 7 before October 15 of the current year
    U9 cannot turn 9 before October 15 of the current year
    U11 cannot turn 11 before October 15 of the current year
    U14 cannot turn 14 before October 15 of the current year
    Fall season is current year and spring is previous year. Player can move up one year.
    DRAFT
    A. For the purpose of being fair to all participants and coaches, players in their assigned age group will go through a draft (except U5 & U7). Players can return to their Spring 2010 team if requested on the registration form.
    The draft/meeting will be held at Rodden Field as follows:
    U5 - TBD, U7 - TBD, U9 – TBD, U11 – TBD, U14 – TBD
    B. There will be a COACHES ONLY meeting TBD at the Recreation Department.
    C. Exemption(s): Carpooling exemptions are not allowed for U9 and above divisions. The U5 and U7 age division can make request and the recreation dept will try to honor them.
    1. Head coach son/daughter.
    2. Sibling(s)
    3. Relative that is the reason a coach is coaching (ex. An uncle is coaching for his nephew)
    PLAYER EQUIPMENT
    A. The players may wear shoes with soft, plastic cleats or sneakers. No replaceable football or spikes allowed.
    B. Shin guards are mandatory.
    C. Recreation Dept. will supply several balls. Players may want to purchase their personal practice ball and place his/her name of their ball. U5 Size 3 ball, U7 – U11 Size 4 ball, U14 Size 5 ball.
    PRACTICES/GAMES
    A. Soccer practices shall begin after the draft.
    B. Soccer games shall begin the third week of September for all ages and end approx. late October. There will be a preseason kickoff on September12. Times and location will be listed on the game schedule.
    C. Games may be played any day of the week.
    FUNDRAISERS
    A. Picture Button Sales: These can be purchased from the recreation department approximately a week after pictures have been taken. The cost of the button will be 2 for $5. We will only have buttons for players that take individual pictures on picture day.
    B. T-shirt sales: Each team will have an order form to order team t-shirts for parents or sibling (the players uniform is included with the registration fee). This will be a t-shirt in the same color as your child’s team with the Belmont Soccer logo. The cost of the t-shirts will be $10 for S-XL, $11 for XXL, and $12 for XXXL. Youth sizes are also available for $10. The deadline to order shirts is TBD. See the recreation field attendant to purchase shirts.
    FEES
    A. The registration fee is $35 in city and $60 out of city per player and it covers the players’ jersey, socks, shorts, trophies, banquet, officials, equipment, field usage and any maintenance. The fee does not include shoes or shin guards.

    Please help us keep the parks clean by picking up trash after the practices and games.
