We are thrilled that we have collegiate level fastpitch softball within the jurisdiction of the York County Junior Girls Softball League. Over the past few years, the team at York College has been involved with some of our teams and some of our girls have participated in clinics organized and run by the York College Girls. Finally, the close proximity of York College to many of our teams provide a perfect opportunity to go out and watch the York College Girls in action. We are happy to provide this web page so that you can keep up with the activity with the York College Spartans Fast Pitch Softball Team.

York College Spartans Announce 2010 Winter Clinics
York College of Pennsylvania S O F T B A L L 2010 Winter Clinics
Our softball winter clinics will be held in the field house of the beautiful new Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center. Parents and coaches are welcome and encouraged to come to the clinics. This is a great opportunity to learn from and interact with several college coaches as well as participate in a great college atmosphere. All campers should bring their: Glove, tennis shoes, batting gloves, catchers equipment (if applicable.

*Registration is on the first camp day 30 minutes prior to the start of the session you are attending*
College Prospect Camp for grades 9-12 January 9 and 10, 2010
The focus of this clinic is to enhance the offensive, defensive, and pitching skills that are necessary to play collegiate softball. We will break down all aspects of hitting and follow with a video analysis and break down for each camper. Defensive instruction and analysis will be specific to each camper’s position(s). Pitchers will also have a video analysis and breakdown as well as the opportunity to be clocked on the radar gun.
· Instruction on pitching will be done from 9:00am-12:00pm both days. Pitchers bring their own catchers (can be a parent.) If unable to find a catcher, please call for additional options.
· Instruction on offense and defense will be from 1:00pm-5:00pm both days.
Cost for attending the pitching clinic only is $125. Cost for attending the offense/defense only is $185. Cost for attending both the pitching and the offense/defense clinic is just $225 for 14 hours of instruction! If you would like a copy of the video analysis and coach’s breakdown it is an additional $25. Please check that area on the form; DVD and analysis will be mailed out following the camp.
Fundamental Camp for grades 1-8 January 16 and 17, 2010
The focus of this clinic is to teach the basic fundamentals of pitching, hitting, fielding, base running and position development.
· Instruction on pitching will be from 1:00pm-3:00pm both days. Pitchers bring their own catchers (can be a parent.) If unable to find a catcher, please call for additional options.
· Instruction on offense and defense will be from 3:30pm-7:00pm both days.
Cost for attending the pitching clinic only is $75. Cost for attending the offense/defense only is $125. Cost for attending both the pitching and offense/defense clinic is just $165 for 11 hours of instruction!
