When participating in swim meets, our swimmers are representing the Kelowna Aqua Jets Swim Club. Like other sport teams, such as soccer/hockey/baseball etc, KAJ has a team uniform and swimmers are expected to wear the team uniform at all swim meets.
The team uniform consists of a sapphire blue swimsuit/jammer, our KAJ swim cap, and KAJ t-shirt.
The KAJ Equipment Coordinator has an inventory of these items for sale and will be at the pool often during the swim year. Once a year, we offer the chance to purchase KAJ Tracksuits and other KAJ special items.
Swimmers in the Seniors group often wish to purchase special performance swimsuits, such as Speedo AquaBlades or Fast Skins, for swim meets. These special suits usually aren’t available in our team colour (sapphire blue). In this case only, it is acceptable to wear a dark royal blue or black/grey performance suit as our team uniform.
Remember, image is important to our club and wearing the uniform helps to promote team spirit. We also encourage parents to purchase a t-shirt to wear to swim meets.
