PVI RECEIVES CONGRESSIONAL, STATE HONORS
At the annual "First Pitch Dinner" held on Sunday, March 13, at
PVI, the 2004 State Championship Team received two awards. Congressman
Tom Davis presented the team with a copy of the Congressional Record
entry he sponsored in recognition of its 2004 accomplishments. In
addition, Virginia Senate Resolution 485, also honoring the 2004 team,
and co-sponsored by State Senator Jeanmarie Devolites-Davis, State
Senator Jay O'Brien, and State Delegate Chap Peterson, was presented by
Senator O'Brien.

PANTHERS RECEIVE TEAM AWARD FROM HOME PLATE CLUB
PVI's 2004 State Championship Team was honored with the
"Outstanding Team Accomplishment Award" at the 49th Annual Washington
D.C. Home Plate Club Awards Banquet on Friday, February 14. Pulitzer
prize winning author and baseball enthusiast George Will was the
keynote speaker at the dinner. The Home Plate Club presented the
Panthers with a large trophy and each player was awarded a medal.
