Super Saturday Results (2/2/08):

MITES:

Was a very exciting game. Tornadoes and Stars battled it out until the 5th Overtime with the score tied at 3. Then in the first minute and a half of the 5th OT, Alex Bush scores the game winning goal, for the Stars to Clinch the Championship. Alex leads the Stars to victory with 2 goals and 1 assist, followed by Lain Reed with 1 goal and 1 assist, and Ridge Rotan with 1 goal and 1 assist.

PEEWEE:

This was another exciting game with the Sharks needing to win to stay alive and force a second game. Well it was a battle. The Sharks and Team USA ended regulation tied at 8. The Sharks were able to pull it out with a win in overtime, with a goal from Chris Zahn. Chris had a excellent game with 8 goals followed by Eric Owen with 1 goal and 2 assist.

The second game proved to almost be as good as the first game between these two teams, with the Sharks leading most of the game, but as Team USA seem to be building steam in the 3rd peroid to catch the Sharks. But the Sharks fought back and sustained the lead winning the game 7 to 5. The Sharsk Take home the Championship. Great job by both teams.

BANTAM/MIDGET:

This was another hard fought game between the Spartins and Zeffers. A low scoring great defensive game by both teams. But the Zeffers were able to pull out the victory with a 3 to 1 win, and force a game two to decide the championship.

In the second game the Spartins just did not match up to the Zeffers. The Zeffers took control of the game in the second peroid and just ran with it from there. The Zeffers win the Bantam/Midget Championship. Good job guys.
