Here is our latest project at Taylor Motorsports, a 2004 super stock SS/GT camaro. This car will be kept 100% ss legal chassis wise and will be run with a 421 sbc sput's racing engine and a coan 1.80 reid cased glide. This project started with a rolling chassis that needed a few minor upgrades and turned into a complete remake from one end to the other....to say we have alot of time into this car is understatement!!!!! complete fuel system, ign. system, all wiring and cables, complete interior, complete engine and trans/converter, tires, rear gear, cooling system, gauges and tach, paint and body work, emblems, ect., ect.....it's all been redone. we spent the summer of 2009 and will spend the winter of 09/10 finishing it up. dubbed project "UNB" it will hit area tracks in 2010.
here are the specs................
CHASSIS.........
pk chassis, chrome moly cage, 4 link with wishbone, and wheelie bars. all suspension parts and rear end powdercoated "silver vain", cage painted gun metal silver metallic. strange 9inch 3.812 ultracase with 1350 yolk, 4.86 pro gear, and 40 spline gundrilled axles with 5/8's studs. strange billet disc brakes front and rear with strange braced master cylinder and biondo line loc. strange double adj. front shocks, koni double adj. rear shocks. front end set up by richard doane with alf wiebe componets. dynatech alum. metal matrix driveshaft with 1350 u-joints and roller bearing trans yolk.
WHEELS AND TIRES........
weld 2.0 alumstar 3 1/2 fronts and 15x12 rears, 28 inch hoosier fronts, 12.5x31.25x15W hoosier rear slicks. crc front lightweight wheels nuts and spacers.
ELECTRICAL........
k&r complete wiring system with fuse/relay board and switch panel, and 1 gauge battery cables front to rear. optima red top gel cell batteries, east coast 55 amp super mini alternator. msd 7al-2 ign with hvc II coil, 3 step and rpm switch.
FUEL SYSTEM..........
jaz 3 gallon clear pro cell, magnafuel prostar 500 pump/filter, magnafuel 4 port regulator, 12an from cell to filter, 10an pump to reg, all new an lines and fittings.
INTERIOR.............
kirkey 17.5 wide alum. seats with gray tweed covers. seat shells powdercoated "siilver vain". window net and all mounts powdercoated "silver vain". custom carpet, shifter mount, seat mounts, ect. custom pk interior/door panels, headliner, trunk area, ect. all gray tweed. all small items powdercoated "silver vain". biondo terminator button and custom mount. grant steering wheel. hurst pistol grip quarter stick and biondo co2 bottle, gauges, and billet mount. autometer record/playback tach, shift lite, oil pressure warning lite, oil pressure, fuel pressure, water temp, trans temp and volt gauges. impact 5 way harness.
COOLING.........
howe 16.5x28 dual pass radiator with 2 1000cfm electric fan, mezerie 55 gallon per minute water pump. billet overflow can.
HEADERS..........
custom pk 3 step 1 5/8 x 1 3/4 x 1 7/8 tube with a 3 1/2 collector.
