Watsonville American Little League

  Welcome & Overview

Dear Parents:
Welcome to the 56th season of Watsonville American Little League.  WALLBB is an all-volunteer, organization serving the youth of the greater Pajaro Valley area.  WALLBB needs volunteers to perform the many necessary tasks, both large and small, which must be carried out to make the program successful.  WALLBB is looking for responsible and enthusiastic volunteers to support and coordinate Little League events and activities.  We need you!

Volunteers:
WALLBB is only as strong as our volunteers.  Some volunteer activities are very visible while many go unnoticed.  Some activities are tremendous time commitments while others require only a couple of hours.  But, all of our volunteers make this league work.  There are a variety of jobs that have to be done for a successful Little League to operate, and the philosophy of Little League International is that leagues are to be managed by volunteers not professionals.  That means ALL of us.  Therefore it is the expectation that all parents will volunteer their time, skills, & energy to support the league.

Umpires:
We are in need of umpires for the spring season.  WALLBB provides the equipment and training.  We schedule around your schedule.  New this year – anyone who completes umpire training and umpires 8 games will be awarded a free player registration for the next season.  Umpire 16 games – get 2 registrations.

Hit-A-Thon:
   No more candy sales!
Each team will be responsible for providing NO LESS than three volunteers for this very important Fund Raising Event.  Typical volunteers for this event include but are not limited to: team coordinator, day of field worker, day of Bat-a-thon snack bar shift worker, committee members and help at the check in/out tables.
If you can supply some prize donations for the kids we would love to hear from you.

We need you!
