Women's Softball League Wants To Settle In Easton * It Offers Improvements To City Fields In Exchange For A Permanent Home.

They may hear "strike one" on the fields, but a woman's softball league could hit a homer with a proposed agreement to relocate its teams to Easton.

The Palmer Adult Recreation League -- Women's Softball wants to use the Bob Rute softball fields at Hacketts Park.

If Easton agrees, the women -- and there are almost 500 in 20 teams -- will not only maintain the fields but will make a number of improvements at their expense.
