Naamans Blk (W) 10 vs Newark National Blue (L) 6

Naamans Black All Star Team came from behind twice on its way to a 10-6 victory over the Newark National Blue Team at the Brandywine Invitational Tournament at Dyer Field. The highlight of the game came in the 4th inning with the Black Team down by a score of 5-4, bases loaded and a Grand Slam Home Run by Conor Hill allowed the team to take a lead they would not relinquish. Jeff DiSalvio picked up the victory.

Canal Gold (L)0 vs Naaman Blk (W) 10

Led by Chase Golden’s 5 RBIs and Nate Donahue’s perfect 4 for 4 at the plate Naamans Black pounded their way to a 10-0 victory over Canal Gold tonight at Dyer Field.

In addition to the offensive outburst, Pitchers James Wade and Adam Tommer combined on a 2 hitter with Wade pitching the first 2 innings striking out 3 and Tommer going the rest of the way with 5 strikeouts.

 

Naamans Blk (W) 17 vs Canal Blue(L) 11

 

In a game between the last two undefeated teams in the A Bracket, Naamans Black overpowered Canal Blue 17-11 in a slugfest this morning at Dyer Field. After jumping out to a 9-1 lead in the top of the third, Canal Blue showed why they too were undefeated clawing their way back to not only tie the game in the bottom of the third but to take the lead 11-9. In the 5th Naamans Black pulled within one at 11-10 when Adam Tommer singled home James Wade who had walked and made it to third on some heads up base running. In the top of the sixth Sean Brady led off the 7 run explosion and with the bases loaded, Nate Donahue singled in two runs. Tommer’s Sacrifice Fly to Center brought in another and consecutive RBIs by Conner Rock and Conor Hill capped off the rally. Pitchers Nate Donahue, Jeff DiSalvio and Adam Tommer combined for 10 Strike Outs.

Naamans Black wins Brandywine Invitational “A” Bracket with 4-0 Record

Naamans Black came back five times tonight to defeat Brandywine Blue 15-14 with Adam Tommer hitting a walk off single scoring Chase Golden with the winning run. Both Naamans Black and Brandywine Blue pounded out 25 hits combined in the slugfest. Connor Rock and Conor Hill led the charge going 3 for 3 at the plate and Chase Golden and Adam Tommer added two hits each with both Rock, Golden and James Wade blasting triples.

Griffin Staats cleared the bases with a walk off double with two outs propelling Naamans Black to a thrilling 11-10 victory over a very resilient Brandywine Red Team in the Championship Game today at Dyer Field.
 
Naamans Black jumped out to an early 8-1 lead thru the second inning before Brandywine staged their comeback chipping away at the lead and eventually taking a 10-8 lead to the bottom of the 6th. The “Never Say Die” Naamans Black team took over one last time and with Connor Rock, Sean Brady and Jeff DiSalvio all reaching base and set the stage for Griffin Staats as he drilled a hard gapper to deep Left Center that fell between the Brandywine fielders allowing DiSalvio to race home with the winning run.
 
Naamans Black finished the Brandywine Invitational Tournament with a perfect 6-0 record.

GAME1: Naamans LL (W) 15 vs Capital LL (L)5

 

The Naamans' 10yo All-Stars opened the tournament with a 15-5 victory of Capitol in five innings at Heeney Field. Down 5-1, Naamans responded with a 3 in the third, 4 in the fourth, and 7 in the fifth.

 

Naamans racked up 17 hits, including Kenyon Motley's first career HR high into the arborvitaes in left center, an inside-the-parker by Jacob LaPerle, and doubles by Connor Campbell, Harrison Fletcher, John Brooks, and Nick Gray.

 

Harrison Fletcher and John Brooks racked up 9 strikeouts in the win.

 

 

GAME 2 :Naamans LL (W) 23 vs Suburban LL (L) 1

Naamans recorded 21 hits and 44 plate appearances on their way to a 23-1 victory over Suburban in four innings at Canal Little League on June 30. Naamans batted-around-plus-eight in the 3rd and around-plus-2 in the fourth.
