Our daughter began cheering with CXA in the fall of last year. We automatically began to see her gain a passion for the sport of cheer and a true love and respect for her coaches.
She has always been a very social child but has struggled with severe anxiety over the years. Since she began cheer, we have not only reaped the benefits of having a sport that gives her physical exercise but a family of coaches and parents that have poured out time, experience, and an infectious passion for cheerleading. All of these things have brought our daughter to a place where she is confident enough to take the stage with her team in front of thousands of people and looks forward to situations that in the past would have been too overwhelming due to her anxiety.
As parents, we have been able to see her perform and cheer her on from the stands, take small trips as a family, and form relationships with the other parents of her teammates. CXA has given our daughter wonderful experiences so far and we look forward to what the future holds with her & the team. In the end, Coastal Xtreme has proven to us and her that anything worth having is worth working for. TEAMWORK!

My name is Abbie and I am 10 years old. I have been cheering for 5 years and with CXA since it started. It has been a great 5 years. I have made alot of new friends and gone to fun competitions! My coach Miss Kathy Brown is the best coach ever. She made us an awesome routine this year and last year. My Coastal Xtreme Youth squad won Grand Champions at Reach the Beach and Final Destination last year and we were so happy. I hope we get Grand Champions this year too. I have had so much fun cheering with CXA. My friend Megan Defelice and her family helped us build a new gym and it is really cool. It has a spring floor and tumble track. Coastal Xtreme is a great cheerleading sqaud and it is so fun so please come join us! You will have a GREAT time! I have.

I am Malissa Shrieves, most importantly Jenny’s Mom, but also Parent Manager for the Senior squad and Vice President of CXA. Jenny and I have been with this Cheer squad for 6 years now, we have met friends that we would have never come to meet. It has been the most wonderful experience for both Jenny and I and we are so proud to a part of Coastal Xtreme. We hope all the cheerleaders that come to be a part of CXA enjoy cheer as much as we do!!!

I love being a coach. Cheering is a passion. It's part of your soul. You have to love it. I love watching these kids grow and learn. It is such an honor to be able to be involved in their lives. Not only do I hope that I help them in some way, but each and every cheerleader touches my heart. I also have two daughters who cheer for CXA...Molly and Morgan.

Coastal Xtreme All Stars has become a second family to Sabrina & I. When we first arrived two years ago everyone made us feel so welcome! I have not only had the opportunity to watch my daughter grow as a cheerleader but I also have the tremendous honor of coaching these outstanding athletes. It was been such a joy to watch the growth of this team in the last 2 years and I am extremely excited to see where the future takes us!
