Swim-A-Thon: The deadline to submit all Swim-A-Thon donations is Thursday November 22nd at MIDNIGHT.
Only donations submitted on/before this time will count towards the final amounts used to allocate prizes.
If you need to collect donations per lap, after the Swim-a-Thon, please contact Terry at email@example.com to make
arrangements to hand in these donations after the Swim-A-Thon.
Official Tax Receipt Information

For all swimmers who have donors requesting an official tax receipt, please ensure that the following information is provided:
1. Full name and address (including postal code) of donors requesting tax receipts
2. Explanation of same name donors (if the donor’s name is same last name as the swimmers we need the relationship-e.g. cousin, aunt, grandparent, etc.).
3. A signed “Swim Family Charitable Donation Affidavit”. This form only needs to be completed once per swim family.
Official tax receipts are available on request only for donations of $50.00 or more (as we pay a processing fee to Swim BC).
Please note that the $100.00 fundraising cheque from each family does NOT qualify for an official tax receipt.
The cut-off date to submit all Swim-A-Thon donations is: Thursday November 22nd at Midnight
This gives you FOUR days (after the Swim-A-Thon) to collect any pledges that are based on the number of laps you swam

Important Swim-A-Thon Dates
There will be four Swim-a-thon Teams. Each team will consist of swimmers from all the different LLSC groups.
There will be special Team Building Days, where all members of the team come to Johnson Bentley to swim and get to know each other.
Because of the size of the club, we can't accommodate all swimmers on deck at the same time.
Team Building Days:

Your team will be assigned to come to one of the Team Building Days and one of the Swim-A-Thon days.
Swim-A-Thon - November 2012
The Liquid Lightning Swim-A-Thon is coming up.
The Swim- A-thon is a FUN fundraising event for LLSC swimmers! Swimmers collect pledges and then challenge themselves to see how many
lengths they can swim (up to a maximum of 200 lengths) in an allotted time period.
Like last year, the club will be divided into teams consisting of swimmers from all of our different swim groups.
The idea is that each team will collect pledges, competing against the other teams for the highest amount collected overall.
This is a great way for the swimmers to be involved in raising funds for their own club.
We are need parents to join the organizing committee for the Swim-A-Thon.
If we have one or two people from each swim group volunteer, it will make this task easy and fun.
Greg and Barb Andreen have already volunteered to manage the online donation system and the paperwork that is involved with it.
The other items that the committee will need to discuss/plan are:
• The Teams
• The Special Team Day
• Grand Prize
• Smaller Incentive Prizes
• Collection of Money and Recordkeeping
• Swim-A-Thon Days
