Dallas Youth Baseball Scholarship
Purpose:
To enrich the youth in the community by creating leadership opportunities through sports.
Funding:
An annual tournament will be held to raise funds for this program. Additional monies will be raised through donations and sponsorships for the scholar program. The DYB Board will maintain and distribute the funds as agreed upon by the DYB Scholarship Committee.
Eligibility:
Any volunteer/coach/umpire/player who is a graduating senior from any high school in DISD of that year. The senior must have been a volunteer/coach/umpire/player of DYB/DYS for least 2 years to be eligibility. Must have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.25.
Ineligible:
Selection committee member and immediate family are not eligible to enter or be selected for a scholarship.
How to be considered for scholarship:
Fill out the application; TYPE a minimum 300 words essay on what it meant to be part of Dallas Youth Baseball. TYPED Essay part MUST CONSIST OF 300 WORDS MINIMUM. Use 12 point font - Times New Roman. Please include a copy of your most current high school transcript.
Dateline to submit:
Deadline will be May 21st of the graduating year.
