The Harleysville Eagles' football classic has always signified the beginning of our season.  The Eagles will play a full game with a local KSL opponent with the winner taking home the kickoff classic trophy.  All of our teams participate in this event with the winner of the most games at the end of the day pronounced the kickoff classic champ.

The Kickoff Classic was renamed to The John Hoffman Kickoff Classic  in 2015 in remembrance of John Hoffman.  John started coaching with the Eagles when his sons joined our organization. John was "an intense coach, that had a calm approach with each kid.  He was a great teacher and his love for the game was fun to watch." His players describe Coach John as "someone who pushed me to be my best, believed in me, cared about us as a team, treated me like a son, never gave up on us." The impact Coach Hoffman made to the boys he coached and the parents that had the privilege to know him will always be remembered.
