THE ROLAND GOMEZ AWARD PRESENTATION
Each year, the coaches which volunteer their generous time and make our programs work, nominate a boy and a girl who have participated in the Optimist Club of Miami Lakes for a minimum of three years (including the current school year) and consistently displays leadership, responsibility to the program, sense of community and excels in school.
This year's $1,000 Scholarship award was presented on the 6th of December and was held at the Miami Lakes Middle School. The event was attended by Optimist Board Members, Mayor Mike Pizzi, and family members. We congratulate all finalist for a job well done.
