Claremont 7 - La Puente 3
Matthew Hohn had another outstanding pitching performance, pitching into the 6th inning and allowing 2 just hits. Excellent defense all over the field highlighted by Harrison Spohn's snare of a line drive down the 3rd base line. Big hits by Merrick Hummer and Harrison Spohn in the 4-run 4th inning. Next up is Temple City on Monday at 8pm. Go Claremont!
Temple City 10 - Claremont 4 This was a hard fought, close game tied 2-2 until the top of the 6th when Temple City broke things open. Chase Omagari was the starting pitcher and held Temple City to 2 runs through 4 innings. The Claremont offense was held down most of the game by the Temple City pitchers. The offensive attack was led by Ryan Stonehouse with 2 hits. Next up is La Puente tonight at 7pm with the winner advancing to play Temple City on Wednesday. Go Claremont!

Matthew Hohn pitched a solid 4 1/3 innings allowing 5 hits. Chase Omagari got the final 5 outs with 5 strike outs, the last two looking! Big hits in the 4-run 2nd inning by Merrick Hummer, Matthew Banfield, Christian Tanori, Chase Omagari and Matthew Hohn. Awesome defense by the Claremont team. Thank you for the TONS of fan support! Wow! Chase Omagari pitched a shut-out in this mercy-rule shortened game. The Claremont batters worked hard to get a 4-0 lead against the first Glendora pitcher and broke it open against the second with a 9 run 4th inning. The defense played flawlessly!
Game 14 7-07-09
Claremont 9 - La Verne 0
The Claremont pitchers did it again! Matthew Hohn pitched 4 1/3 innings with 7 strikeouts. Harrison Spohn, Ryan Stonehouse and Matthew Stanford each pitched 20 pitches or less and preserved the shutout. Chase Omagari led the hitting attack with a single, a double and a triple. Ryan Swift, Christian Tanori, Ryan Stonehouse and Austin Allen each had 2 hits. 13 hits for Claremont.
Game 16 7-10-09
Claremont 10 - La Verne 8
The Claremont team fought back from an early 5-1 deficit with a 9-run 4th inning to take a 10-5 lead. La Verne made things interesting scoring 3 runs in the top of the 6th. Big hits by Austin Allen, Sean Renken, Harrison Spohn, and Chase Omagari led the way in the 4th. Congratulations, Claremont!
