Frequently and Not So Frequently Asked Questions-2010!

Question:

What are the various forms can a payment be made in?

Answer:

There are several payment options that are available.  Players can pay in cash, money order, certified bank check or they can make a payment using the paypal option.  Personal checks are prohibited.

All payments that are made in the form of money order or certified bank check should be made payable to "Renegades Baseball".

All payments are placed directed into the team's business banking account.

Question:

After a money order/pay-pal payment  is made and placed into the team's account and we do not make the team, in what form will our refund be in?

Answer:

The refund will be returned in the form of a team's business check.  Only in a rare situation such as a player NOT owning his own banking account, then a money order will be given.

The sole purpose of receiving all payments by money orders is to avoid banking penalty fees for bounced checks.

In the same manner, the main purpose of having the refund returned in the form of business check or money order is to keep and maintain accurate records.

Question:

I am intending on trying out for the catcher's position.  Do I have to bring my own gear?

Answer:

It is recommended that all players bring their own equipment, regardless of their position.  If a player does not have his own equipment when trying out for the team then equipment will be made available.

However, all players are required to purchase and bring their own equipment once they make the team.  If a player in un-prepared at any time during the regular or post season he will be at risk of not playing.

Question:

What is the basic schedule of the league?

Answer:

The QMBL 2010 regular season operates from April thru August.

It's a 20+ game season (minimum of 21 games will be played).  All games are 9 innings with no time limits! Games cannot end in ties.  A winner must be declared.

Games are played on the weekend.

Question:

Where are the games played?

Answer:

All the games will be played in Queens, NY.

Question:

I already have knowledge of dates that I will be unable to attend games.  However, this in no way affects my commitment during the times I would be available to play.

How many games would I miss?

Would this be a problem for the team?

Answer:

Not a problem at all. No player will be able to or is expected to make every single game.  Each player might have to miss games at some point during the season for reasons that have to do with family or work.

To be more clear, one's personal life comes first.  Although this team is well organized, it is still recreational.

For each weekend or week that a player is unavailable, the number of games missed is approximately 1-3 games.
