S.Y.F.C Board of Directors


The governing body of the Smyrna Youth Football and Cheerleading, Inc. shall be the Board of Directors, which shall consist of the following: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Senior Division Football Coordinator, Junior Division Football Coordinator, Instructional Division Football Coordinator and Cheerleading Coordinator.

The Officers of the Smyrna Youth Football and Cheerleading, Inc. shall be a Team Parent Coordinator, Equipment Coordinator, Fund Raising Coordinator, Sponsorship Coordinator, Registration Coordinator, each of whom shall be elected or appointed by a majority of the Board of Directors.


1. The President
Duties of the President shall be to preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors; to call Membership meetings; supervise all other Board Members and Officers in the performance of their duties, and to perform all other duties as required by his/her office.


2. The Vice President
Duties of the Vice President shall be to assist the President as requested and to perform the duties of the President in his/her absence; to represent Smyrna Youth Football and Cheerleading, Inc. in all functions as requested by the President; to oversee the day-to-day Smyrna Youth Football and Cheerleading, Inc. website, to produce and distribute association newsletters, coordinate game-day public address announcements. The Vice President shall serve as President in the event of the resignation or suspension of the President.


3. The Secretary
Duties of the Secretary shall be to keep records of all committee reports; to keep minutes of Membership and Board of Directors meetings, and to perform all other such duties as directed by the President.


4. The Treasurer
Duties of the Treasurer shall be to handle all funds pertaining to Smyrna Youth Football and Cheerleading, Inc.; to provide financial reporting and budgets to the Board; and to perform any other duties directed by the President.


5. The Senior Division Football Coordinator
Duties of the Senior Division Football Coordinator shall be to supervise the Head Coach’s of the 110lb team, the 120lb team, and the 140lb team in the performance of their duties as coaches of Smyrna Youth Football and Cheerleading, Inc, which includes coordinating participation of the coaches for the painting of the fields, the set-up and break-down of the park on game days; and perform any other duties as directed by the President.


6. The Junior Division Football Coordinator
Duties of the Junior Division Football Coordinator shall be to supervise the Head Coach’s of the 80lb team, the 90lb team, and the 100lb team in the performance of their duties as coaches of Smyrna Youth Football and Cheerleading, Inc, which includes coordinating participation of the coaches for the painting of the fields, the set-up and break-down of the park on game days; and to perform any other duties as directed by the President.


7. The Instructional Division Football Coordinator
Duties of the Instructional Division Football Coordinator shall be to supervise the Head Coach’s of the Instructional Division in the performance of their duties as coaches of Smyrna Youth Football and Cheerleading, Inc, which includes coordinating participation of the coaches for the painting of the fields, the set-up and break-down of the park on game days; and to perform any other duties as directed by the President.


8. The Cheerleading Coordinator
Duties of the Cheerleading Coordinator shall be to coordinate all cheerleading activities, to supervise the Head Cheerleading Coaches for all divisions of Smyrna Youth Football and Cheerleading in the performance of their duties; and to perform any other duties as directed by the President.


9. The Team / Parent Coordinator
Duties of the Team Parent Coordinator shall be to explain and oversee all team parent activities; to maintain financial records as given by the team parents; to coordinate all duties and activities by team parents for both Football and Cheerleading; to work directly with the Fundraising Coordinator as needed; and to perform any other duties as directed by the President.


10. The Equipment Coordinator
Duties of the Equipment Coordinator shall be to maintain control of all football, cheerleading and field equipment under the direction of the President; and to perform any other duties as directed by the President.


11. The Fundraising Coordinator
Duties of the Fundraising Coordinator shall be to coordinate production of the yearbook, coordinate fund raising activities and special events; to include Homecoming, Picture Day, association banquet as directed by the President and Treasurer; and to perform any other duties as directed by the President.


12. The Sponsorship Coordinator
Duties of the Sponsorship Coordinator shall be to coordinate sponsorship acquisition and public relations activities as approved by the Board of Directors; to coordinate sponsorship benefit delivery, and to perform any other duties as directed by the President.


13. The Registration Coordinator
Duties of the Registration Coordinator shall be to coordinate all registration activities; to keep records of registration for the cheerleading and football programs, to work directly with the Equipment Coordinator as needed, and to perform any other duties as directed by the President.
