New Success of Tradition

The Centerville Elks Baseball Program is one that is rich in tradition and history, and considered a local and state power in the baseball community. 

Overall Record

Since 1965 the Elks have combined for a record of 1128-480, 23 League Titles, 6 District Titles, and 13 Sectional Titles. 

League Titles

Dayton Select League:  1966

Western Ohio League:  1972, 1973, 1980, 1981, 1985, 1987, 1989, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1999, 2000

Greater Western Ohio Conference:  2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2022

District Titles

1978, 1994, 2004, 2010, 2017, 2018

State Title

The lone State Title for the Elks was recorded in 1928 under Head Coach T.C. Smith when the Elks were crowned Class 3 State Champs, the 1st State Championship ever held, with a record of 14-0. 

Professional and College Players

The Elks have also produced seven players that have gone onto to reach the professional level (Bryan Braswell 1996, Drew Niles 1998, Mike Brown 1999, Jeff Kennard 2000, Dan Jensen 2011, Ryan Colegate 2015, Sean Murphy 2016, Quincy Hamiton 2021) and over 110 players have reached the college level since 1965. Legendary Coaches

The Centerville Program is also know for two legendary coaches in Coach Tim Engleka (1965-2002) and Coach Terry Dickten (2003-2014).  Coach Tim Engleka recorded a record of 760-307 and was succeeded by long time assistant Coach Terry Dickten who finished with a record 223-96.

Above all records, titles, and accomplishments, the Centerville Program is most proud of the young men that have come through our program and have gone on to be successful citizens, husbands, and fathers.
