Football Record Update--Most interceptions in one game

Thanks to information from Dr. Dagan Dalton we have been able to update one of our Tartan football records. The old mark for interceptions in one game was three by Jim Sporleder 1971, John McCadden 1978 and Mike Watkins 1982. Dr. Dalton informed us that in 1974 he had four interceptions against Wilson. Dr. Dalton is an E.R. doctor who now resides in Orlando Florida, but says he is "fiercely proud of his GHS roots". He is married (31 years) to former head cheerleader Lori Christiansen, G.H.S. class of 1976. Together they have ten children plus three grandchildren and one more grandchild on the way. They really love Florida with one exception--No In-N-Out Burger there!

Chad Young to San Diego State

Chad has been offered a spot as a "priority walk-on" at San Diego State University. The Aztecs are looking to use Chad at Fullback and Special Teams. Congratulations to the Young family!

Meraz gearing up for Citrus College

Eric Meraz will be playing for Citrus College next season. Eric has been working out regularly in effort get himself ready to play ball with the Owls! We expect great things from Eric when he suits up for Saturday games at Citrus Stadium.

Justin Matthews will be an Azusa Pacific Cougar!

Justin Matthews has earned a scholarship to attend the University of Azusa Pacific and to play football for the Cougars. Justin was the Tartans long-snapper in 2007 & 2008 and was a backup offensive lineman. Justin's size (6' 2" 270 lbs) and work ethic were more enough to convince A.P.U. that Justin belonged with them.
