Special Guest

• Chris Mc Nally

Chris joins us from an online website industry.
This is kind of like our website “league lineup” but with many other alternatives. Easier online registration, email, and text, operations for each sport for coaches and members, private pages for other officers.
Web site is a cost per member we have which we can incorporate in registration fee, but will give parents alternate options to know the stats of there player and upcoming events.
Personal set up from operators and one on one user instructions.
Has links for advertising benefits and access to sites such as Under Armor for BPYAA gear made with/in these companies.
Chris will contact us back at a later time to review more.

Monday JUNE 15, 2009 minutes:
Meeting started: 7:30 Pm by Darrin Stevens
Old Business
• Minutes from last month not presented.

Special issue addressed

• Men’s Hispanic league

Major issues arose over the weekend with the Men’s Hispanic league we let use our soccer fields. Three people were stabbed as a result of an argument during the game Saturday night. All are listed in critical condition.

Jason Tingler was called upon and let the league and Rodrigo know that the league is no longer welcome at our facilities. AA. Co has asked us to wait until further investigations to remove the league, all who are in attendance at this meeting do not want this league back in our park, county has asked us to not speak to the press at this time. Darrin Stevens stated he will make a statement to the press once the investigation allows. Many are to understand, we have a contract with this league and Darrin will do his best to address the issue as the group has requested.

New business:

1. Nic Kipke present from district 31. Projects & Improvements.

• Nic voiced his opinion on our members not wanting men’s soccer league back, he suggest we should write a letter to county and paper to show BPYAA is a great place for our youth and our in house league had no dealings with this issue.
• Delegates and AA co walked park last week, before half of the site was viewed it was agreed upon to get the walking track replaced by state and county. Jones of Annapolis will complete the re pavement ect, overgrowth of walking area was already cut back by request.
• Nic also expressed how we can get state and co assistance for the lights we are wanting, by a bond bill, we raise x dollars and the state and co match these funds. We can use this method for our new field house as well, which Jason Tingler has presented to Darrin the plans for.
• We would need to make a priority list and show how this will help our organization and funds.
• Darrin has placed grant request to Sams and Wal mart, at store level awaiting approval. Also he has reached out to lows and Home depot, maisel brothers ect for additional help all have agreed, just need to address when needed.
• Chrissy Calander suggested contacting Raven’s and Baltimore Orioles to have certain players assist in funds which they tend to do from time to time.
• Nic stated he will work with some friends of wealth to attend and donate at our next dance to help with money and building

2. Baseball/Softball.

• Trophy night was scary, T- ball kids did not get there trophy’s at all, Darrin suggested bringing them up next week for free snow balls “Nic said senator will pay for them” and gave each T-baller who is willing to come back next year $15.00 off.
• Bobby Biddinger team was completely rudely interrupted and will be apologized for.
• Umpire fees of cost were brought up, Rasheba feels there a bit much, Darrin is fine with fee’s says we pay less then anyone.
• Cost of Trohphy’s was out of this world. Jason suggest ordering bulk, but were to store it??

3. Financial update

• $5100.00 in bank, still need to pay for Trophies, $2500.00 and tournament fees.

4. Other issues and Guest

• Angie Rodriguez present for senator, she lives in this community for past 3 years and has just seen a real eye opener. She really feels this is a wonderful area and yet we had to be exposed to such violence. She has heard all of our plans and will take all information back to senator for review and would love to come and help out anytime just ask.
• Improvements for next year are thought of to include, painting of fence along field 5 with yellow coverings, and new batting cage would like to put it down near soccer field.
• Darrin thinking of stepping down as president of the organization, it is begging to be too much and his heath is being affected.
