Dodgers Player of the Week
This past weekend saw the Dodgers go up against the defending OSBA Champion Burlington Bulls. The players knew these would not only be important games in their battle to remain at the top of the Eastern Conference but also very tough games against a strong opponent.
So bringing your "A" game was essential and this weeks winner of the Player of the Week did just that. Congrats to Wayne Wickens for his pitching performance in Game #1. Wayne went a complete game 7 innings, giving up 2 runs, only 1 earned run, on 6 hits and 2 walks while striking out 5. It is the type of performance the team has been waiting to see from Wayne this year and he could not have picked a better time to have it.
Honourable mention goes out this week to catcher Brad Hanna who not only had a key 2 RBI hit to solidify the Dodgers win but also shut the Bulls running game down in the 1st game, throwing out 2 runners.

Dodgers Player of the Week

This past weekend saw the Brooklin Dodgers take two games from the Mississauga Majors. A big part of those wins was this weeks Player of the Week MIKE DESPUTEAUX
Mike had a strong weekend at the plate, as he has started to shake off the early season rust and is becoming a key contributor to the Dodgers offence.
Game #1 - 1-2, 1 Run, 1 BB and 1 SB
Game #2 - 2-3, 1 Double, 2 runs, 1 SB

Dodgers Player of the Week
A new addition to the Dodgers website will be a Player of the Week chosen from the games Dodgers will have played the previous weekend.
In the debut of this award for 2009 the choice was very easy to make as the recipient continued his strong play from the previous weekend.
Brooklin's Player of the Week is SAM GRABOWSKI.
Sam was impressive this past weekend on the mond as he was again asked to be the anchor of a very thin pitching staff for the Dodgers. Sam came into the first game in the top of the 7th inning, with the bases loaded and no out and the Dodgers leading the Stars by 2 runs. On top of that he was to face the 3, 4 and 5 hitters of a very strong batting order. Well Sam was up to the task as he got outof the jam giving up only one run and getting his second save of the year.
In the second game, Sam took to the mound and pitched a complete game, giving up just 2 runs on 3 hits. He also helped himself out offensively going 1-2 with 2 RBI's.
His full pitching line for the day - 2 games, 1 start (complete game), 8 innings, 2 runs, 1 earned, 2 K's, 3 hits, 2 BB's, 1 Win and 1 Save
