Goals for 2008 - 2009
Individual Goals for 2007 - 2008
To all parents and wrestlers,
To set realistic goals at the beginning of the season gives an individual reason to improve and something to shoot for. Learning to wrestle is not a 100 yard dash, it is an endless marathon. So it is very important to set goals along the way to build self esteem and know you are improving. Attached is a goal sheet for each wrestler and parent to think about and write down the wrestlers goals for the season. For the rookie wrestler, it may be to win 25% of their matches, to learn 3 specific moves that they can teach to mom and dad, to be able to do 30 push ups by the end of the season. For the more experienced wrestler, it may be to win the MD Youth State Championships or to drill 1 specific takedown until no one can stop it. Work on these goals with your wrestler and turn a copy in to the Squad Parent by November 15th. The coaches will review these goals with the wrestlers throughout the season to see how they are coming.
