On Friday, July 6th and Sunday, July 8th, our Mites participated in the Pittsburgh Penguin Hockey in July Mite Tournament at the Consol Energy Center. There were 4 divisions and 4 teams in each division so there were 16 teams there total. Our Mites were placed in the Chinstrap Division.

The Mites played two teams on Friday and won both games. On Sunday morning they played the Rink Rat 3 team and beat them to end up undefeated in pool play. This put them into the Platinum Championship against the same Rink Rats 3 team. The Championship game was close, but in the end our Mites won and were the undefeated Champions. All the players received medals and the team won a trophy. The members of the team were:

Zander Faust, Joe Fitzgerald, Hayden Kerlin, Noah Kohan, Mitchell Maher, Alex McGuire, Hayden Schmidt, Ryan Smith, Collin Starr and Adam Teel. Head Coach was Aaron Teel; Assistant coaches were Patrick Fitzgerald and Andy Kohan. Team Managers were Debbie Smith and Jill Teel.
