New Intermediate Division of Little League

12 & 13 year old players

Twin Town Little League has added a new intermediate division of play for the 2013 season. 

Players

The intermediate division will provide our 13 year old players with a transition season to move from a little league sized field to a full size field as well as provide our 12 year old players an opportunity to play baseball at a higher level without losing their little league eligibility.

Fields

The Poestenkill fields P-1 & P-2 will be modified to accomodate the larger infield and greater fence distances.  The size of the infield will increase from the current 46/60 to 50/70 (50ft pitching distance and 70ft base paths).  The fences will be moved back to a minimum distance of 200ft.

Eligibility

13 year old players residing in Twin Town boundaries (born 5/1/1999-4/30/2000)

12 year old players residing in Twin Town boundaries and registered to play in our Majors Division (born 5/1/2000-4/30/2001)

13 year old players from othe rsurrounding Little Leagues as needed (meeting same age requirements)

Organization

This division will operate under the direction of TTLL Board of Directors, and will have its own level director, manager selection process, player evaluations and a minimum of 12 regular season games, play-offs, All-Star team tournament with the World Series being played in California.

Format

The league has chartered 4 teams for 2013 and regular season will inculde playing games with other Intermediate division teams from other local little leagues, both home and away (providing players with a travel experience)

Games

Games and pracites will be scheduled to allow our 12 year old players to play in both Majors and Intermediate without conflict.  The season will run from 4/16/13-6/7/13 with play-offs following.  Two games will be scheduled during weekdays, accomadations will be made for players playing modified school baseball so as not to effect their All-Star eligibility.

Registration

Registration is available online through our website linked to sportssignup, the fee is $105.00 for 13 year olds.  !2 year olds will pay only $50.00 as they are also required to play in our Majors division.  Registration is open until 2/24/13.

Parents

Please indicate during the registration process if you are interested in a board, manager, or coaches position, there will be an informational meeting 1/17/13 at 6:30pm at the Lakeview Inn and Restaurant.
