As a coach, you have a great deal of responsibility, and a tremendous opportunity to shape young lives in a positive way.
Doing that can be a challenge, and the club's job is to assist you.
You need to handle several chores to prepare your team for the upcoming soccer year and keep in mind these dates for the fall season - spring season dates here
- Form your team
- Decide how to flight your team to have a successful season. Note that does not mean winning all your games!
- Identify parents to help you with some of the many tasks involved in getting that team on the field each week
- Work with the parents to complete initial paperwork
- Roster your team. Look over our notes on the gotsoccer process to get started.
As we get closer to the start of the season, there are a few things to keep in mind, and a checklist for game day. Always keep in mind the club goals of player development which includes ensuring 50% playing time each week and competitive games. Here are some guidelines to help you ensure games do not get out of hand.
