SS #1: Snack Shack Safety Rules

Snack Shack Safety Rules

 

  • People working in the concession stand will be trained in safe food preparation.  Training will cover the safe use of the equipment.  This training will be provided by concession stand managers and other volunteers designated by the concession stand manager.

  • Proper cooking temperatures and cooking times will be clearly posted and timers provided at the food preparation station.

  • Procedures on opening and closing of concession stand will be posted.

  • An operating fire extinguisher will be in the concession stand at all times.

  • A properly stocked first aid kit will be in the concession stand at all times.

  • The concession stand door will be kept locked or blocked at all times.

  • All injuries must be reported to the safety officer.  All injuries that require medical attention must have an injury report completed and forwarded to the League safety officer and president, who will follow standard injury reporting procedures.  All injuries will be reported within 24 to 48 hours.

  • No one under 16 is permitted to work the grill or fryer.
