L.I. Storm 14U Champions In The 2007 Frozen Ropes Memorial Day Classic
After two days of pool play in the 2007 14U Memorial Day Classic, only 4 teams remained...the LI Storm 14U, The Long Island Blue Demons and two undefeated East Meadow Mustang teams. To advance to the championship round, the LI Storm needed to defeat one of the undefeated East Meadow Mustang teams. Tight defense and timely hits in the semi-finals, resulted in a 3-1 victory for the LI Storm, thereby clinching a berth in the championship game. The tough Long Island Blue Demons also advanced to the championship game by knocking off the other undefeated East Meadow Mustang team. The championship game was short and sweet with the LI Storm jumping out to a quick lead and continuing to dominate the game from then on. The final result was a shut out run rule in 5 innings over the Long Island Blue Demons. Congratulations boys, this championship was a true team effort.

L.I. Storm 12U Captures 2nd Place In The 2006 NJBL Labor Day Tournament
September 4, 2006  --

After two days of pool play in the NJBL Labor Day tournament, of the eleven teams participating in the 12U division only two teams remained undefeated...the LI Storm and the Brooklyn Bulldogs. Both teams finishing with an identical record of 4-0. Due to a rain shortened tournament format, rather than a having play-offs, the championship was to be determined by the team’s pool play record with the first tie breaker being run differential. The LI Storm with an impressive run differential of 25 fell one run short of the Brooklyn Bulldog’s equally impressive run differential of 26! As a result the LI Storm 12U clinched 2nd place. Congratulations boys on an outstanding performance.
