MVAL players, coaches honored at Camden Yards for MSABC Pre-Season All-State
February 16, 2008---Four MVAL baseball players and three coaches were honored at the Camden Yards Warehouse banquet room on Saturday evening in Baltimore.
Williamsport's A.J. Jamison, Tuscarora's Nick Meekins, Liberty's Dan Litfin, and Westminster's Phil Ruzbarsky were each honored as 2008 Pre-Season All-State by the Maryland State Association of Baseball Coaches.
Westminster's Bryan Harman was named 2007 District I coach of the year by the MSABC for leading the Owls to the Class 3A Maryland State Baseball Championship.
Longtime coaches Paul Merrill and Guy Stull were inducted into the Hall of Fame. Merrill coached at Walkersville from 1988-2000 and compiled a 201-77-1 record, while winning the 1999 2A state title. Stull has coached at FSK and Westminster and won a state title last season as an assistant with the Owls.
The MVAL congratulates all the award winners and hallf of fame inductees.
