Presidents Picks
May 19, 2006 --
For each week in May head coaches will submit the name of one player that stood out statistically for their club. The purpose of this exercise is to give players around the league added recognition for their efforts and to help the coaching staff for the league all-star team better prepare for when they announce the squad that will represent the league when they face the SABL on June 25 at the Rogers Centre.
Normally these winners would be crowned Players of the Week (POTW) but since that honour only runs for the last 10 weeks of the regular season May's winners will be dubbed President's Picks. Achieving this honour will give each individual added consideration when the coaching staff gets together to finalize the OSSBA all-star team roster.
