Welcome to the Smyrna Youth Football and Cheerleading 2009 season. We are looking forward to making this another great and exciting year. The goal of our program is to provide our children with the basic skills, teamwork and sportsmanship necessary to succeed, not only in athletics, but in life as well. Above all, we want our participants and their parents to have fun.

This years Board picks up where last years left off. There will be a lot of new and exciting changes all geared to enhance your experience as a dedicated Spartan. Please keep in mind that all Board of Directors, coaches and team parents are volunteers and are here for the benefit of the children participating in the program. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact any board member.

Included in your handbook, you will find information about this year's program. Please read it carefully, many of your questions will be answered by reviewing this material. On behalf of the 2009 SYFC Board of Directors, I would like to thank you for the great year we are going to have and to ask you as parents to please play an active role in your child's activities, by volunteering as needed.
