About Us

The Fort Lee Soccer Club was established in the 1986 with the purpose of providing an opportunity for quality youth soccer in the municipality of Fort Lee.  Our aim is to provide quality youth soccer and create lasting memories for the children and families of our community. The great interest in the game combined with the desire for kids to participate has prompted the growth of our league to more than 600+ children participation.

The FLSC will do our best to serve our teams as efficiently as possible and to help the many volunteers who make this league a great success.

Participation

All children who live in Fort Lee or go to a school in Fort Lee or attend a school that is associated to a Fort Lee School can participate in our league

Registrations: Sign ups

Fall outdoor season: registrations generally are opened to the families mid to late Feb - prior to the start of the season (Sept)

Winter indoor season: registrations generally are opened to the families mid to late Oct - prior to the start of the season (Jan)

Division play

All players are restricted / placed as a result of the current year age appropriate calendar.  As constructed today, the league is comprised of four age appropriate divisions:

Division 1:  Pee Wee:  Children generally between the ages of five and six years old (mix boys and girls)

Division 2: Freshman Division (East and West): Children generally between the ages of seven and eight years old (mix boys and girls)

Division 3: Sophomore Division (East and West): Children generally between the ages of nine and ten years old (mix boys and girls)

Division 4: Junior / Senior Boys only and Girls only:  Children generally between the ages of fourteen and eleven years old

Season play

The Fall outdoor season will begin approximately the first week in September and conclude mid November.  Match results and standings are recorded with the playoffs to follow end of league play.     

The Winter indoor season will being approximately the first week in January and conclude mid March.  Match results and standings are not recorded with no playoffs following the end of league play.     

Equipment

The League will sponsor one game jersey for each player

Soccer cleats. Outdoor for fall season / indoor for winter season
Black shorts that do not exceed the length of the players kneecap
Soccer socks, preferably white, which should go up to the players kneecap
Shin guards
A soccer ball to bring to practice

Size 3 ball for Pee Wee Division (Under 6 Division)
Size 4 ball for Freshman Division (Under 8 Division), Sophomore Division (Under 10 Division), Boys Junior Division (U12 Division) and Girls Division.
Size 5 ball for Boys Senior Division (U14 Division)

Games played / practices held

Games:  Both Fall and Winter Season games are generally played on Saturdays

Practices: Fall season, potentially any day throughout the week.  Winter season, generally Sundays.
