2015 Perseverance Award

In the 2014-2015 season, the league faced a unique set of circumstances with the 8th grade travel team. The team consisted of 6 core players that  were very dedicated and came to most, if not all, practices and games. They played the entire season with a very short bench and practiced without players to practice against. These girls showed tremendous heart throughout the season, working hard from opening tap to final buzzer, regardless of the score.

It was decided that rather than award 3 players,  all 6 of them should receive a “perseverance” award for their dedication to the team in the face of the adversity they faced all season. The word perseverance is defined as “the quality that allows someone to continue trying to do something even though it is difficult”.
