CP Pool Programs & Lessons

Non-residents MUST have a pool membership in order to participate in either swim/dive lessons and/or CP BlueFish swim/dive team.  Click here for Swim Lesson Info.

Registration for all CP Pool Programs begins on February 20th, 2017.

CP Lap Swim & Wading Pool Schedule

Early Morning Pool Programs

Children’s Wading Pool* - Weekdays (M - F): 10 am – 12 pm/Weekends & Holidays: 10 am - 11 am

Members can enter to use the wading pool before the pool complex is open to the public.  Please note: Parents, guardians or babysitters are not required to have a pool membership when accompanying a child/children who are pool members. However, those who are not members and wish to remain in the pool complex during public swim time will be required to pay the appropriate daily rate. 

Senior Dip* -  Weekdays (M - F): 10 am – 12 pm/Weekends & Holidays: 9 am – 11 am

Swimming for seniors (ages 60+) in designated areas prior to the opening of the pool complex for public use. 

Adult & Senior Lap Swim* -  Weekdays (M - F): 10 am – 12 pm/Weekends & Holidays: 9 am – 11 am

 Swimming for adults (18-59) and seniors (ages 60+) in designated areas prior to the opening of the pool complex for public use.  Lap lanes are separated by swim speed (walk, slow, medium & fast).

Adults & Seniors must have a pool membership in order to take part in the morning lap swims prior to the pool opening to the general public. Lap lanes are separated based on swimming speed (walk, slow, medium, fast).

*There is no Early Morning wading pool, senior dip or Adult/Senior lap swim on the weekend of May 27-29.


General Public Swim

The lap lane is open to all lap swimmers from 12 - 8 pm on weekdays & 11 am - 8 pm on weekends & holidays (7/4 & 9/4).


CP Bluefish Swim & Dive Team

The Community Park  Bluefish swim and dive team is a recreational summer team.  Swimmers and Divers are between ages 5-18.  Our team varies in all level of swimming abilities: beginners, intermediate and advanced. We practice five days per week (M-F).

Swim meets are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in June and July. Dive meets are on Mondays and Wednesdays.

After school practice sessions are 4-5 pm and 5-6 pm from Monday 6/5 - Tuesday, 6/20. (*tentative based on Princeton Public School Calendar.  No practice on 6/21 due to PHS Graduation)

Morning practice starts on Thursday, June 22 (*tentative based on Princeton Public School Calendar).  Morning sessions are 8-9 am and 9-10 am.

There will be a parents meeting for the CP Bluefish Swim & Dive Team on Thursday, June 1 at 5:30 pm at the CP Pool.

Fee: Swim or Dive ($133) or Both ($266)

   *(All nonresidents MUST have a pool membership in order to register)

Aqua Aerobics & Deep Water Exercise

 Aqua Aerobics for Adults & Seniors (Slow Paced Class)

6/26 - 8/16 on Mondays & Wednesdays (No class on 7/24)

11 am - 11:45 am for adults, ages 18 and up

$67 per Resident or Nonresident pool member/$134 per Nonresident


 

Deep Water Exercise for Adults & Seniors (Fast Paced Class)

6/27 - 8/17 on Tuesdays & Thursdays (No class on 7/4, 7/20 & 7/25)

11 am - 11:45 am for adults, ages 18 and up

$67 per Resident or Nonresident pool member/$134 per Nonresident


 

Lifeguard Recertification Course

American Red Cross training course for CURRENT lifeguards to recertify their lifeguard training. Lifeguards are required to recertify every 2 years. Course will be taught by PRD staff person with current American Red Cross Instructor Certification. Must attend both days to earn certification. PRD will provide all course materials. Space is limited.

 

Dates: June 6 & 8
Time: 4-9pm @ Community Park Pool
Pre-Requisite: Must be a current/certified lifeguard
Fee: $150/Resident or Non-Resident

Lifeguard Training Course

Princeton Recreation Department will be offering the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course at Community Park Pool this summer. Individuals must be 15 years of age or older, be able to swim 300 yards continuously, retrieve a diving brick from a depth of 10 feet and tread water for 2 minutes using legs only.

Cost: $275/person 
Dates: July 31 - August 4 from 8am - 1pm

Princeton Recreation Water Polo

August 1 - 24, Tuesdays & Thursdays - 815 - 945 am @ CP Pool
Open to youth, ages 6 - 17.  Space is Limited!


ALL nonresidents MUST have a CP Pool membership to register for this program.
$54 per individual
