NEW to TEXAS
USSSA Elite High School Program
For Competitive Teams - Ages 14U - 18U

Please join me in welcoming this USSSA program to the great state of Texas. I am
excited to introduce this program to Texas this inaugural year and expand the program each
year hereafter.  Below is an outline of the program from the State to the International level.
I look forward to seeing your teams at these competitive events.

Note:  The USSSA World Championships and All-American Games are wood bat events.  It is good practice to have players learn the nuances of a new 'stick' before competing at this level in front of college and professional scouts.

2014 dates for USSSA World Championships and All American Games will be posted shortly.

USSSA State Events
In the next days/weeks, competitive 'Showcase' events for ages 14U through 18U will be posted on the USSSA website.  As more venues are secured in the DFW area and throughout the State, more events will be posted.  And each year, more and more quality venues will be added.  Teams from these Showcase tournaments and from the USSSA State Championship events in June will be selected to participate in the USSSA World Championships.  The World Championships are events that are highly scouted by college and professional scouts.  Individual players participating in these Showcase events may also be recommended for the
USSSA All-American Games.

Selection of teams to particiapte in the USSSA World Championships will be based on a process put in place by the Elite High School State Directors and may include USSSA Power Ranking, USSSA Qualifying Tournament winners, USSSA State Championship winners and/or overall 'Prestige' of a team.  And as this program develops across Texas, we expect more collegiate and professional scouts in attendance at the state events, who also will be involved in the selection process.

USSSA World Championships
The USSSA World Championships are the premier end of summer tournament.  This event will have the top travel organizations from across the country in attendance and will also include international teams.  The USSSA World Championships will be highly scouted by both college and professional scouts.  To add to the exposure aspect of the tournament, a scout day will be hosted on the front end of each respective age groups event.  The scout days allow for the college coaches and professional scouts to get an extra look at the players they would like to follow more closely during the tournament itself.  ABR will provide scout books for the professional and college coaches which will consist of all player contact information in addition to the tournament schedule.  Teams are provided the opportunity to play against the country's premier travel organizations in front of some of the most recognizable college and professional names that the country has to offer.
