2010 TBD Wednesday Night Pitching Lessons with Joe Bisenius


Joe Bisenius - Right-handed pitcher - Philadelphia Phillies organization


Bisenius is a 2001 Sioux City Bishop Heelan High School graduate, and a 12th round draft pick in 2004 by the Philadelphia Phillies out of Oklahoma City University. Bisenius has pitched at every level of professional baseball for the Phillies including time in the Arizona Fall League and also one winter in South America in the Venezuelan Winter League. Bisenius made his Major League Baseball debut with the Phillies on April 5, 2007, and Spring Training 2010 will mark the beginning of his 7th year in professional baseball.

Cost: - Single sessions for only $30 each or you can sign up for a package deal of 5 sessions for $150 and you will also receive a professional in-season work out packet, free admittance to Total Baseball Development's Fundamentals of Pitching Camp, and a camp t-shirt for the camp that will be held this spring.

Benefit: - Get a comprehensive and sound fundamental pitching basis going into the 2008 season.


TBD will be conducting baseball lessons covering all aspects of the game this Winter, Spring, and Summer.
Any of TBD's lessons can be done weekly, bi-weekly, or at your convenience and will be scheduled at the times that work best for you, will be forty minutes in length, and are open to baseball players of all ages. Announcing the 1st EVER Total Baseball Development Competitive Spring Baseball League.

Time to get your gloves out!!! Get your skills rolling this spring and be ready for Day 1 of high school practices and tryouts that begin on Monday, April 30! After seven years of operating the successful TBD Fall League in Sioux City that almost 1,000 players have played in, TBD will be operating it’s first ever Spring League. GET YOUR GUYS TOGETHER & SIGN UP TODAY!!!

TBD Spring League Opening Day is Sunday, March 25 in Sioux City!!!


2012 TBD Spring League dates and details………….

Five Sunday’s of baseball ……. Your team will play two 6 inning games
in a 3 hour 20 minute time session. (Your team plays one session per Sunday.) The 2012 TBD Spring League will take place on the Sunday’s of March 25, April 1, 15, 22, and 29.

Ø 1st session runs from 12:00 noon to 3:20pm
Ø 2nd session runs from 3:40pm to 7:00pm

· 14 man team limit. Teams are to have at least 12 players.
· All players hit in the lineup.
· Free substitution on defense.
· Pitch & inning counts for pitchers.
· Standings for all teams updated weekly.
· Schedules will be set up week to week primarily based on standings, with an attempt to have teams play other teams that they will not play during the summer.
· Each player will receive a numbered TBD Spring League t-shirt/jersey!!!
· Players must be 2012 Iowa High School eligible players. (8th graders are eligible.)
· All games will be played at the Striker's Baseball Complex at 4900 South Lewis Boulevard (Highway 75) in Sioux City, Iowa. Batting cages and concessions will be OPEN!
· Spring League Play-In Games & Championship Medal Games to be held on April 29.



* The TBD Spring League will use the NFHS BBCOR 2012 BAT STANDARD RULE. Any bat that is not a single piece of wood must meet the BBCOR (Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution) standard and must be properly marked with the BBCOR logo. The BBCOR logo must be one inch square and be placed on the barrel of the bat.

* TBD and the Morningside Little League reserves the right to substitute and supplant rain out dates and inclement weather dates for following Saturdays, MLL Indoor Competitive Hitting League Games on Saturdays and Sundays, and Sunday, May 6. We will work to make sure that all make-up games are played in these fashions.

Ø Baseball cost per player is only $99. Sign up as a team or part of a team and stay together with your high school teammates or sign up as an individual and be assigned a team. Space is limited for teams.

TBD’s 2007 College Preparatory Select Baseball Team

Total Baseball Development is inviting high school baseball players to practice and play on TBD’s first ever college preparatory select baseball team which will practice and play during April. Requirements are:

• Players eligible for high school baseball this coming summer
• Players dedicated, serious, and ambitious about getting better at the game of baseball
• Players interested in walking into the first day of high school practices on April 30th ready to go
• Players interested in entering the high school playing season with an edge on the competition
• Players wanting to play college baseball

TBD will run six full scale college style practices and three game days playing a minimum of two five inning games on each game day. A minimum of three instructors will be at each practice and game. All practices and games will be held at the Strikers Baseball Complex located at 4900 South Lewis Boulevard in Sioux City. Practices will cover, but will not be limited to: hitting, fielding, pitching, fly ball responsibility, cut-offs, bunting defense, bunting offense, situational hitting, double plays, Pitching Fielders Practice – PFPs,
base running, and rundowns. There will be competition incorporated into each practice, controlled scrimmages, and the mental side of the game will be addressed at every practice and game. Game day lineups will include a maximum of twelve hitters for each game, and pitchers will have pitch and inning count limitations for all practices and games. We encourage high school coaches to count attendance at the TBD practices and games as attendance at each schools official pitcher and catcher workouts during the month of April. We will also be in contact with coaches pertaining to pitching assignments as not to conflict with the Sunday spring league games.

Players will dress in an appropriate manner at all practices and games using, but not limited to, the following dress code:

• No facial rings or exposed jewelry
• No ‘on purpose’ sideways hats
• Jerseys will be tucked in at all times
• Pants will show the bridges of the stirrups
• White of the sanataries will show between the bottom of the bridges of the stirrups and the shoes

Cost per player will be $175 and each player will receive a game jersey with number that will be worn at all practices and games, a workout t-shirt, and a pair of sanitaries to keep. Each player will also receive a belt and a pair of stirrups that will be returned after the last game. Each player will be responsible for his own baseball pants, baseball equipment, and will wear his high school hat. The team roster will be limited to the first
