This page is not an endorsement of any of these camps but programs we have come across that our rowers might be interested in.

    Brochure

    Hi all,

This summer, I and my staff are running a training camp at Riverside for junior girls in the Boston area. We're going to hold one week sessions, with water practices twice a day, plus classroom and land work. It's priced at about half of what most other camps are, so hopefully it will be an affordable alternative for the athletes whom we'd love to see go

off to Craftsbury, or some such place, but can't meet the costs.   We're

limiting the sessions to 20 kids each, so we'll be able to give lots of up close personal attention, and get a huge amounts of technical instruction done in a short amount of time.

The brochure is attached, and registration opens this Sunday on a first come, first serve basis. Right now we're planning a session for girls coming off their novice year, and a session for girls with some varsity experience, but we will add weeks if enough people indicate interest.

If this is something you might be interested in your girls doing, please pass on the brochure.

    thanks,

    jS

Dear Coach, We hope that your spring season is off to a great start!  Spring is in full bloom on the Charles River and the rowing conditions are fantastic.  We hope that your spring season is going just as well.  This summer we are hosting a new summer rowing camp at Boston University, Rowing Smart for Training and Racing.  We'd love to have your athletes join us.   The camp is for rowers and coxswains of all levels.  Our camp's focus is on the mental game behind rowing fitness and technique.  We'll row twice per day, review film once per day, and attend daily workshops on topics such as nutrition, goal setting, and mental skills.  Campers also get to row on the Head of the Charles course and stay on campus at Boston University. This year's camp runs from July 6th through July 11th.  Please see our website for more details: http://www.bu.edu/wcrew/camp.html <http://bu.scoutware.net/wcrew/cgi/router.pl?mailID=2069T0515200400_73&playerID=2788&linkID=W2912130500_9> .  You're welcome to contact me with any questions: vcurry@bu.edu <mailto:vcurry@bu.edu> .  Have any interested athletes get in touch with me as well.  I will be happy to provide them with whatever information I can! Best wishes for great racing!
