We have been fortunate to have people/groups do their own fundraisers and donate the profits they raised to Brandon's Defense.  Below is a list of the generous people that have raised funds to help kids with cancer!

Claey Brothers Golf Outings
Jeff & Corey Claey have put on a golf outing for several years and donated the proceeds to a worthy cause.  One year they donated the profits to Brandon for his medical treatment.  For the last "few" years they have donated the proceeds to Brandons' Defense.  Thanks Jeff & Corey for your hard work year after year and your continued support!

Beating Cancer One Step at at Time 5K walk/race at Island Park
Central Michigan PA Students held a race on April 17, 2011 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.  There were about 100 participants and 50% of the money they raised was donated to Brandon's Defense.  The total contribution was almost $1,000! For more information visithttp://cmpua5k.webs.com

Coast to Coast for Cancer:
Two Grand Valley College Students (Matthew Moore & Zak Weber) ran for 6 days, over 200 miles and burned 21,600 calories as they ran across Michigan. Why? To help build awareness to Childhood Cancer and raise funds for Brandon’s Defense. The raised over $1,800!  They don’t know anyone personally battling cancer right now, nor has either one of them been personally touched by childhood cancer… they just wanted to help those that have! This is an incredible story… very inspirational. Their efforts are so appreciated and very much admired.

Waverly Girls Basketball Team
The Warriors held a "Shot for Gold" fundraiser in Febrary 2011 at a girls basketball game.  They raised over $1,500 in one night!  Huge thanks to the team and fans for supporting Brandon's Defense missions!

Friends of Charlie
In April 2011an MRI exam revealed that Charlie Waller had a fast-growing and inoperable brain tumor (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma or "DIPG"). Charlie was a child that Brandon's Defense helped at Sparrow Hospital.  Charlie has had a couple of fundraisers to assist with his medical bills and quality of life.  Charlies parents generously shared a portion of the funds.  To learn more about Charlie visit:  www.friendsofcharlie.com

It amazed me (and still does) the outpour of people that helped Brandon with his cancer journey. I continue to be amazed at the generosity of so many in our quest to keep the fight going and to find a cure!  Thank you so much for all of you that have done your own fundraising and donated the proceeds to Brandon's Defense.  The generousity of others is always appreciated by those in need!  Thank you to all that support our cause.  Together we can and are making a difference!
