We, Boy Scout Troop 94, would like to submit the enclosed donation in memory of Mr. Arthur (Cliff) Beckman, Sr. (September 24, 1935-January 1, 2007). Cliff is the father of our Scoutmaster, Arthur Beckman, Jr.
Cliff served his country in the military, and he thoroughly enjoyed American History. Much of his life's pleasure was derived from visiting battlefields and collecting like memorabilia. Cliff recognized Gettysburg's importance to our nation.
Cliff would have been proud to stand with fellow Americans who share your vision for Gettysburg as a classroom of democracy: A place that educates and inspires. A place that honors the United States of America.
We thank you for allowing us the opportunity to contribute towards the preservation of Gettysburg, so generations to come can understand and appreciate a crucial part of America's history.
