Vermont Ravens 41 Green Mountain Mud Dogs 11
At Barre, Jordan Young racked up three touchdowns two receiving, the other rushing to lead the Ravens to a win over the Mud Dogs in their regular-season finale.
The Ravens (3-5) will face the top-seeded Tri-City Charge in the New England Football League playoffs in the coming weeks.
Sunday, Young hauled in touchdown catches of 35 and 45 yards and also broke off a 60 yard scoring run.
Ravens starting quarterback Malik Butler delivered Youngs first touchdown. He also tossed a 31-yard scoring strike to Trevor Williams and rushed for a score.
Backup quarterback Clayton Torres threw Youngs second TD and Noah Lowry had a 1-yard touchdown plunge.
Kicker Jon Beaulieu was 5-6 on extra points with the last one blocked by the Mud Dogs.
Defensively Raven free safety David Teasley and strong safety Roy Rose each had two interceptions.
The defensive line consisting of Mike Foster, Todd Hallock, Rob Owen, Gordon Cochran, Christian Pratt, Scott Vaillancourt and Brett Walton all took turns at minimizing the Mud Dogs offense on the day.
