Ways Parents Can Help
Phone Chairman or E-Communicator
This parent makes a parent phone tree list/email list and relays news or requests help when needed.
Party Chair
This parent coordinates squad-bonding activities throughout the year. Ideas are slumber parties, holiday parties, meals before games, and end-of-the-year party.
Snack Parent
This parent provides nutritional snacks at games and competitions.
Publicity Chair
This parent writes and distributes press releases about the squad to the local media. This parent calls upon the local media to do stories about the cheerleaders and also finds places fro the squad to perform or volunteer in the community.
Competition Parent
This parent sends information to parents about the competitions, directions and spectator fees. This parent makes and distributes a list of all the items the cheerleaders need to bring to all competitions.
Scrapbook Chair
This parent collects photos from the cheerleaders during the year, memorabilia from each event, and makes a scrapbook for the end-of-the-year party. This parent can make color copies for the cheerleaders if the parents wish to pay for the cost.
Videographer
This parent tapes all events.
Photographer
This parent takes photos throughout the year and coordinates with the scrapbook chair.
