Once again the Brite 3 is a hugh success.This year was predicted to be the biggest Brite 3 to date. That prediction rang true as 288 golfers brought out their rain gear and clubs to battle the elements and the course. This determination led to some record breaking milestones for the Brite 3 tournament. 288 golfers played the beautiful course. An addition 10 walk up golfers were turned away due to the outing being full.
This years event raised $6000.00 in scholarship funds for Penn State University in Matt Brightbill's name. Another $10,000.00 was raised for the Greater Harrisburg Foundation of Harrisbrug. This money will allow the Hometeam to begin to make contributions to local charities in Matt's name. Additionally 100 meals were donated to the Salvation Army.

The Brite 3 staff wishes to thank so many that have made this event a hugh event again this year. To those that spent countless hours preparing the event for the last year leading up to the golf outing. To those volunteers that stood out in the rain for hours monitoring holes, putting out signs, driving the beer carts, working the regristration tables, or passing out food. To those that help make the whole day go smoothly, Thank You!

Thank you to Mayapple Golf Course and Franz for putting on a great golf outing. The course was in execellent condition even with all of the rain. Many golfers were impressed with stlye and condition of the course.

In a stirring speech, Rene Portland the Lady Lions Coach, applauded the efforts and commitment to Matt's memories by all that contributed to the day. She discussed friendship, volunteering, and charity. She expressed graditude for allowing her to come to the event. Thank You Rene for spending the day and providing the crowd with an inspirational speech.
