         September 16, 2006 - 01:00 PM --   First pitch strikes are key to success until it is established that the opponent is a first ball swinging team. By throwing a strike on the first pitch it is like a boxer making the first blow. The hitter is off balance and ours to toy with after that lead strike is thrown.

    Do your self a very big favor ... don't nibble or be cute on the first pitch to each batter. Challenge them!
