Mitey Mites shine in bright lights
The Mitey Mites played hard last night at Roberson Field in East Orange. Montclair Jr Bulldogs traded score for score with Silk City Cardinals and walked away with the tie.
Montclair Jr Bulldogs Mitey Mites cheerleaders braved the cold and kept the Monclair fans excited about the game. Over 100 Montclair parents,friends and family came out to support the team.

Practice Schedule
Football Practice will be held three days each week now that school is in session. Practice begins around 5:30PM and on Saturday around 9AM. Please check with your coaches to determine the days your team will practice. Practice will be held at Nishuane School unless otherwise noted.
Pee Wee team get the win at home
Montclair Jr Bulldogs Pee Wee team posted a victory over East Orange Rams at Woodman Field. The offense and defense both played well. The final score was 24-0.
Registration News
Montclair Recreation team up with Pop Warner Football/Cheerleading.
The Montclair Recreation department is sponsoring Pop Warner tackle football and Cheerleading for ages 7-14. Montclair Recreation and Pop Warner‘s primary focus is to provide a safe and positive environment while putting an emphasis on the mental and physical development of the children of our community. Our main objective is to assist in children’s educational and personal development by setting up an after school tutoring program with the Montclair tutoring club for our Scholar athletes.
Our participation in North Jersey Pop Warner allows us to put an emphasis on education by requiring participants to maintain average grades in the class room (where all kids are rewarded for their academic excellence) and allowing children to continue their participation in a physical activity.
Our Season Begins August 23rd,2008 with our Jr Pee wee's ages 8,9,10 participating in the North Jersey league Jr Pee Wee Jamboree gala vs. Roselle 4:30pm at Paul Robeson field in East Orange. There will be food and music for families to enjoy. All other Montclair teams will begin on Sunday August 24 at Roselle at their scheduled times. Playoffs begin Nov 2, 2008
Parental volunteers are greatly needed, to help out in the program through out the season. Please contact the recreation office at 973-509-4915.
All games are on Sundays and practices are scheduled by the coaches during the week Monday-Friday 6pm and Saturday's 10am-12pm at Nishuane Park. All Home games will be played at Woodman field (MHS) and teams will travel to local neighboring towns within the league for away games.
Each team will participate in a weight and age restricted leagues at all levels. For tackle football, Mighty Mite ages 7-9 45lbs-90lbs, Jr Pee Wee ages 8-10 60lbs-105, Pee Wee ages 9-11 75lbs-120lbs, Jr Midget ages 10-12, 85-135lbs, Midgets ages 11-14 105-160lbs and Jr Bantam ages 12-15 115-165lbs.
Montclair Recreation will also continue its In Town Flag Football league for boys and girls ages 6-9. Games and Practices are held Monday- Friday at Kaveny Field. Jerseys and mouth guards are provided by Montclair Recreation. Fee is $50.
Note: ages 7-9 have the option of playing flag or tackle. Players can not play both.
