This week in Bruins football.
This week the Bruins faced a very strong Western PA Warhawks team. The Bruins came out with a strong first half performance. The Bruins defense played their best half of the year, holding the Warhawks to 6 points. The Bruins offense also found a rhythm in the form of an arial attack. Ratliff connected with Adkins for a 46 yd touchdown reception. Childers added the point after to leave the score, Bruins 7 Warhawks 6 at the half.
The Warhawks scored the only points of the third quarter on a touchdown pass from Gainor to Sentelle for 20 yards. At the end of the third quarter the score was 7-12 Warhawks.
A seemingly defensive battle turned into a scoring fest in the fourth quarter as the Bruins put up 13 points on two Ratliff touchdown passes to Dodrill and Lightner. The Warhawks put up 16 in the fourth to make the final score, Bruins 20 - Warhawks 28.
The Bruins had several stand out players in the 20 - 28 loss.
Ratliff: 21 of 33 for 268 yds and 3 TD's.
Dodrill: 4 rec. 61 yds 1 TD
Adkins: 2 rec. 68 yds 1 TD
Lightner: 4 Rec. 32 yds 1 TD: 5 tackles 2 assists 1 INT.
Lawson: 5 rec. 79 yds: 6 tackles 3 assists: 5 ret. for 86 yds
Bostic: 7 tackles 3 assists 1 fumble rec. 1 INT.
Rider: 6 tackles 7 assists
Harrison: 5 tackles 5 assists
Keene: 5 tackles 1 assist 1 sack

It is the mission of The MOUNTAIN STATE BRUINS to give athletes 18 and older.The opportunity to compete or coach in an organized program where they can showcase their ability, talent, and knowledge. We also wish to give them a place to develop strong bodies, minds, and even stronger friendships.

OUR GRIDIRON CLASSIC GOLF TOURNAMENT WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR A LATER DATE THIS SUMMER. THERE WILL BE TOO MANY FOLKS THAT CANT MAKE IT DUE TO OTHER TOURNAMENTS AND MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. PLEASE KEEP UP THE HARD WORK AND LET ALL THE TEAMS THAT DID SIGN UP KNOW THAT WE WILL STILL BE HAVING IT AND THAT WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR HOLE SPONSORS. THANKS, BM
