14-U Season Ending News
With the season now behind us, Crush 14-U players need to make sure their uniforms are clean and ready to turn in. The team bags, batting helmets, and uniforms need to be returned to the team to be used again next summer. Please report any damaged uniforms or ones that did not hold up so they can be replaced before next season Coach Shaw will make arrangements to collect those items.
The team had a winning record and became one of the better teams in the state over the summer. The Missoula Bandits won the 14-U state title and for five innings, the Crush 14-U played right with them.
Currently the 14-U team is full for next season. Eleven players currently on the roster can play 14-U next season. The Crush coaching staff will not be compiling a player's waiting list for next season, but will consider a player who can improve team depth at pitcher or catcher. Other than Jessie Apple at pitcher and Kyra Dorvall at catcher, every other position on the team is open for internal competition. If any current player on the roster does not plan on playing for Crush 14-U next summer, please let the coaching staff know. Sadie and Cassidy can expect to begin working out as pitchers over the winter if another pitcher is not added to the team roster.

Coaching Philosophy
"In the NFL, championship teams don't do extraordinary things; they do the ordinary things better than anyone else." (Former Pittsburg Steelers Coach Chuck Noll as quoted by Colts Head Coach Tony Dungy in his book "Quiet Strength.")
That is what we will do with the Mountain West Crush softball teams, do the ordinary things like pitching, hitting and throwing, better than anyone else.
