REGISTER FOR TRYOUTS

Know your USA Volleyball Age before registration.  For USAV purposes, players are considered at the age THEY WILL BE on September 1, 2018.  After registration, please pay attention to our website and to our Facebook page for additional information regarding tryouts. 

Players may register for tryouts for two (2) age divisions, but will only be considered for those age divisions for which they actually tryout.  Complete a duplicate registration for each age division.

U12D !  Although you will not participate in a tryout, please use this registration form so that we have your information for the 2018 season.

OBTAIN A $10 USA VOLLEYBALL TRYOUT MEMBERSHIP

USA Volleyball requires all tryout participants to hold, at a minimum, the $10 Tryout Membership.  Follow the instructions provided by the Ohio Valley Region to register for USAV and pay for your tryout membership.  Note that this fee is not paid to Mountain Rage Volleyball Club, but will be credited towards your full USAV membership if you are invited to join our club.  Be sure to print your membership card and bring it with you to tryouts.

ATTEND TRYOUTS

You will receive a pre-tryout email shortly before tryouts reminding you of the date and sharing some strategies for a successful tryout.  Come prepared to pay attention and do your best.  Don’t dwell on small mistakes, because our coaches will be watching how you deal with those as well.  While players are participating in tryouts, there will be a parents meeting where we will discuss the remainder of the selection process and update you on other aspects of the 2018 season.  Mountain Rage conducts closed tryouts.  Only coaches and players are permitted in the gym during tryouts.

INVITATION ACCEPTANCE

On the designated invitation date (tba), the names of players who are being invited to join Mountain Rage for the 2018 season will be posted on our website.  This Invitation Announcement will also include a link to the Invitation Acceptance Form and the deadline for acceptance.  It will be assumed that players not accepting the club invitation by the deadline have declined our invitation and we will move on to making offers to other players.

UPGRADE USAV MEMBERSHIP FROM TRYOUT TO FULL

Follow the instructions detailed at the following link to upgrade to full USAV membership.  Your $10 tryout membership will be credited towards your full membership.

ATTEND ANNUAL SEASON KICKOFF MEETING (tba) and PAY FIRST HALF FEE

We try to get a lot done at this meeting, so your attendance is strongly recommended.   This meeting is the deadline for paying the first half of your membership fee.  Membership fees can be paid by check at the meeting or online using a major credit card or PayPal.  Fees not paid at the conclusion of the Kickoff Meeting will be considered delinquent and subject to a late fee.

Other business conducted at this meeting includes: uniform distribution, club gear order finalization, first team meeting, parent representative selection, and more.

ATTEND FIRST PRACTICE and PAY REMAINDER OF FEE

The second half of your membership fee is due by the date of your first practice.  Payment can be made online, by mail, or by check at your first practice.  Players who we cannot confirm payment for will not be permitted to practice.
