2016 Spring Session Info

2016 Spring Rec Softball Season planning is well underway and we have opened registration online!!

Few items to note and change for 2016

1.       Registration will be online only this year.

·         You will still have different options on payment for the season. Credit Card through PayPal and Check/ Money Order.

·         Going online only ensures we have your correct information entered when registering and once this information is entered, it will not need to be re-entered next season.

·         Allows you to sign up from the comfort of your home, office or phone on the go.

·         Brings you to the Web page where you can sign up for additional division and weather information.

·         Registration will close March 6th 2016.

2.       Work bonds for 2016. We have changed the structure of a very important part of how the league can operate successfully.

·         When registering you will no longer be required to pay additional money up front or send an additional check for work bonds.

·         We are still asking that you sign up for a one or more volunteer jobs when registering.

·         If you chose not to sign up for a volunteer position you will be charged an additional $50.00 at checkout but you will not be required to do a work bond duty.

·         This is being done in good faith that people will still come out volunteer when asked. The league CANNOT operated without help of league parents. If you check other leagues in the area what we require you to do is minimal.  Please help us out and make this a successful change.

3.       Cost for the 2016 season.  Unfortunately this season we need to increase registration cost. This was done by looking at the costs for the past few seasons and plans the league has moving forward. Increasing cost of insurance, equipment, field materials, uniforms and umpire costs it was difficult to hold the line.  We do not require additional fundraisers and still remain one of the cheaper Babe Ruth affiliated leagues around.

·         T-ball will remain at $75.00

·         All other divisions will cost $125.00 for the first player, $100.00 for the second player with a $250.00 family cap for 3 or more players.

Additional information.

·         Winter pitching clinic. We are in the process of securing an indoor location to hold a winter pitching clinic. There will be limited spots available. This will come with a small fee per player.  Contact us if interested at the e-mail below.

·         We finally have approval from the town of Aberdeen to construct batting cages at Oakshades!!!  We are in the process of getting bids to do the work. If anyone knows of a construction group that would interested contact us. Call back on this job is proving difficult.  Getting this done will increase much needed practice space for the league.

·         Sponsors.  The league is always look for local business to sponsor a team and this can be done at registration or contact us for a sponsor form.
