Fall 2007 (Sep-Nov)

Boys U9 (1999's) capture 1st place in Northen Counties Soccer League. Competing in the D flight, the Tornados dominate the competition, outscoring their opponents 38-6 in going undefeated with a 7-0 record.

Boys U13 (1995's) capture 1st place in Northen Counties Soccer League.
Competing in the C flight, the Tornados go undefeated, winning all 9 games, outscoring their opponents 46-13.

Girls U9 (1999's) capture 1st place in Northen Counties Soccer League. Competing in the D flight, the girl Tornados deliver a 8-1-1 record in their first season of play, outscoring their opponents 34-14. A tremendous effort for this first year team!

Summer 2007 (Jul-Aug)
Girls U14 (1994's) capture 1st place in prestigious Adriondack Golden Goal tournament.
Competing against very strong teams from Michigan, North Carolina and Canada, the girls defeat a very strong Michigan team 1-0 in OT to capture the championship. Click here for news article...

Combined Boys U15/U16 team (1992's) compete in Ireland's premier Youth tournament.

Spring 2007 (Apr-Jun)
Girls U9 (1998's) capture 1st place in Northen Counties Soccer League.
Completing their first full season, the Tornados go undefeated in the Spring with a record of 8-0-1 and outscoring the opposition 27-5 in the "C" flight. A great way to end the season as the girls look to move up to the "B" flight in the Fall.

Boys U10 (1997's) capture 1st place in Northen Counties Soccer League.
This up and coming Boys team wins NCSA Spring 2007 “D” flight championship. This rising group of stars continues to shine in the league’s largest age bracket and will make their 2nd move in 2 years this fall to the Boys U-11 “C” flight.

Girls U9 (1998's) win Scarsdale Memorial Day Tournament.
Competing in their first outdoor tournament, the Tornados go undefeated in winning 4 straight games to capture 1st place in Group 1. The girls played great, getting stronger with each game, outscoring the opposition 11-1 in beating Wilton, CT, Harrison, Pelham and Somers, going unscored upon the last three games.

Three Girls U12 (1995's) players honored at New York Red Bulls game.
In recognition of their selection to play on a NY Red Bulls Tournament Showcase team, 3 players from the 1995's were honored at Giants Stadium during the May 24th NY Red Bulls Game broadcasted on ESPN. The players joined in pre-game photo session and took part in a halftime "lap of honor" around the field for all the fans.

Winter 2006/7 (Dec-Mar)

Girls U9 (1998's) to play in Red Bulls Coliseum Cup Championship at Giants Stadium.
Competing in the Red Bulls Coliseum Cup in Teaneck, the girls placed 2nd in their Group, with their only loss to A-flight Allendale Americans. After the opening game loss, the Tornados come back to win their next two games to qualify for the playoffs. In the playoffs, the team plays a great game against A-flight North Rockland to win 2-1, earning a spot in the championship game versus the Teaneck Stingrays at Giants Stadium on April 21st.

Boys U16 (1991's) win championship at John Tally Showcase Tournament. The Boys U16 added to their Spring tournament accomplishments with a 1st place finish at the John Tally Showcase Tournament in Memphis, TN. Facing top nationally ranked teams, the boys reached the finals where they won in penalty kicks (9-8) over Mississippi's number three ranked state team.

Girls U14 (1993's) take 1st place in the Poughkeepsie Indoor League. For the 3rd straight winter, the Girls U14 took home 1st place honors in an indoor winter league finishing with a record of 9-0-1. The girls had another great indoor season with the added accomplishment of being the only team to defeat the second place finishers from East Fishill who were NY State Cup semi-finalists the prior year.

Boys U15 (1992's) win Premeir Division Championship at the Dix Hills Ultimate Kick-off. Continuing their excellent tournament play, the Boys U15 won the Premier Division Championship of the Dix Hills Ultimate Kick-off in Brentwood, NY. The boys went undefeated (5-0) scoring 15 goals while allowing only 2. The boys defeated Manhattan Phoenix, the 29th ranked team in Region 1, along with 3 Division 1 LIYSL teams on their way to the title.

Girls U12 (1995's) take 1st place at The Highlands United Soccer Indoor Tournament. Capping off a terrific round of tournaments this Winter, the Girls U12 team provided for an exciting afternoon of soccer by taking home the 1st place trophy. Throughout their 5 games, they played terrific soccer as a team complimented by individual strong play.

Boys U8 (1999's) win Indoor Tournament at Teaneck Coliseum.
On February 3rd, the Boys U8 rolled into Oradell for their third indoor soccer tournament at the Teaneck Coliseum.The team provided an exciting morning of soccer by taking home the 1st Place Trophy. After winning their 3 qualifying games 4-2, 4-0 and 4-2, the boys defeated Northern Valley Soccer Club in the final game with a score of 2-1. The boys played terrific soccer by controlling the ball in all 4 games.

Boys U15 (1992's) enjoy successful Score at the Shore Tournament. Over President's Day Weekend, the Boys U15 completed a very successful Score at the Shore tournament in Jacksonville, FL, where they faced top nationally ranked teams. They started off with a 0-0 tie against TSF-Celtic (ranked 1st in NJ / 37th in the US) and then lost 1-0 to Brevard Florida FC (ranked 43rd in the US) in the last 30 seconds of the game. The boys had a tough 4-2 loss to FC Select of Illinois (ranked 18th in the US) and were the eventual tournament winner. The Tornados finished the tournament strong by dominating FC Chicago, winning 4-0.

Three players from Girls U12 (1995's) are selected for 2 Red Bulls Showcase Tournament teams. As a result of their Regional Development Schools, the NY Red Bulls invited their top players from the 1500 participating in the RDS this past Summer & Fall to tryout for one-time Showcase Tournament Showcase. The Girls U12 were very proud to have 6 girls selected to tryout with 3 earning spots on 2 Showcase teams.

Girls U12 (1995's) take 2nd place at The Soccer Palace Indoor Tournament. On February 18th, the Girl's U12 team rolled into West Orange for their first indoor tournament at The Soccer Palace in West Orange, NJ. The event drew top competition from the tri-state area and the Tornados played terrific delivering 1 Win and 3 Ties taking home the 2nd place medal.

Girls U12 (1995's) take 3rd place at the Marist College Girls Indoor Tournament. On February 4th, the Girl's U12 team visited the state-of-the-art Hudson Valley Sports Dome for an early morning of action-packed soccer. The girls faced tough competition from top Hudson Valley teams and they emerged with 2 Wins, 1 Tie, and 1 Loss. The highlight was the losing game against the tournament winner where the Tornados allowed only 1 goal against a team that beat all others by 3 or more goals!

Fall 2006 (Sep-Nov)
Ramapo Valley contributes key players to NY State High School Sections top teams.
This Fall High School Soccer season provided for some of the most exciting games in recent years. While we know the teams by the schools they represent, RVSC is very proud to have provided over 25 players to the top teams in Section 1, and to the eventual NY State Champions, Albertus Magnus High School.

Girls U12 (1995's) are quarter-finalists in the NY State Challenge Cup. While only playing in their 2nd State Cup, the Girls U12 team advanced through 3 rounds of single-elimination play to earn a spot in the quarter-finals. The team played a very closely matched game against a strong Port Washington team with the game ending in 1-0 victory for Port Washington. The girls are looking forward to the next State Cup tournament with hopes of making the semi-finals or finals! |
Ten players from Girls U12 (1995's) are selected for Red Bulls Player Development program. The NY Red Bulls brought their elite training program to the new Torne Valley Sports Complex this September. Over 140 players attended the tryout for 60 slots in this advanced program for Ages U8-U14. The RVSC Girls U12 team was proud to have 10 of their players selected to join this 10-week program. |
Girls U11 (1996's) capture 2nd in Fall season. The Girls U11 team capped off a great season by finishing 2nd in their flight this past Fall. This is a tremendous accomplishments for the girls, showing great skill and sportmanship throughout a wonderful season!! |
Summer 2006 (Jul-Aug)
Girls U11 (1995's) take 2nd place at The Hudson Valley Classic Tournament.
Competing in their first team tournament, the Girls U11 enjoyed an awesome experience by winning 3 games and tieing 1. The girls finished tied for first place with the Greenburg Galdiators, but were awarded 2nd Place based on goal-differential.

Spring 2006 (Apr-Jun)
Girls U12 (1993's) reach NY State Open Cup quarterfinals.
The Lady Tornados set the bar with a terrific achievement by reaching the NY State Cup quaterfinal round. This was the first time that a girls RVSC team has reached this level!!!
